I decided about 4 minutes into homeroom today that I hate April Fools Day. Perhaps it was because I was feeling like butt...but hearing the following from my FAVORITE female student did not help me find joy in such a foolish holiday.
Me(to my homeroom): I'm not feeling too well today so any April Fools day jokes you play on me are just going to go over my head. Soooo don't even try.
Favorite student: Ms. Birger, I don't like you. PAUSE. April Fools.
Me(bitch slaps student): I don't like you either.
Ok, well, maybe I didn't say/do anything in response BUT...I would have liked to...
