I wasn't THIS good.

My dad works tomorrow so we exchanged gifts tonight and I have to say that I do not deserve all that I received. Moving on....here are some pictures.

Mmmmm matching silky pjs. Hotties!

Katie got me that $3000 I had on my list a couple of blogs ago. Hilarious. She did need it back though(otherwise she'd never be able to play monopoly again and what a tragedy that would be!)

Brett and Dave will appreciate this one. A new disc! Apparently they do not make my treasured "puma" disc anymore but this is the alternative. It seems about the same weight as the one I lost. We'll have to try it out when the snow clears...or before it does. Britta, how creepy is that spider?

Having trouble thinking of a present for your Daddy? Get him a flashlight. No joke. Here's my dad showing off his new one with a long flexy neck...for when you're looking inside your dryer to fix something or behind the furnace.... One thing though--make sure it's an LED one. It's the ONLY kind promoted by the Captain.

Another great gift idea is a keep cold/keep hot thermal tote. It claims to still have ice after TWO DAYS. It also makes a great hat. Check out those underarm straps for a perfect fit.

A few things

1. I have this feeling that I've been pregnant in my last 5 or so dreams...

2. A kid from my grade school died in my dream last night.

c. I just watered the tree in the wrong spot I think. It started overflowing. I had to move presents. And, now it looks like the tree is leaning. It best not fall during the night because that will scare the **** out of me as I slumber on the couch.

d. Becky is coming to town on the 30th!

5. Whenever I hear the new Beyonce song, I feel like dancing(like Justin and Andy do here).

6. Napoleon Dynamite is still hilarious the 39,023rd time around.

Christmastime for a Teacher

Yesterday, I noticed that I had not received as many presents as I had last year. I assumed these kids just weren't the gift-giving type and I was ok with that.

BUT THEN, two girls came in this morning with a big bag. Now, one of these girls had been telling me she was going to get me a rubber chicken for the past week. I figured the big bag was just for that present. I was wrong. They got me the following...

This is the same group that got me the following for Hanukkah last week. One of the girls found it in her closet.

Now, I will share with you some of what I found amusing when I got home from school.

How am I supposed to open my trash can to put the full bag that's in my kitchen in it? Perhaps I'll take my hair dryer to the lid later...

B-E-E-R spells dessert

I got yelled at by my 33 year old co-worker because I wanted to send hand-written thank you notes to our parent chaperones and he wanted to send E-CARDS.

My cheeks turned bright red as I held in my screaming/anger/aggression. For this exhibition of self-control, I am now dining on an ice cold Miller. I will finish in 5 minutes and then proceed to crawl into my flannel sheets with christmasized mobile homes and scarved flamingos on them.
